We had a light wind and an ebb tide, so it was a pretty slow race.I think we came in second, but I've been so busy since then and it's been somewhat overshadowed by the SBYRA South Bay Championship race on Saturday, so I'm not quite sure!
We did have a beautiful sunset,
though...After the race, we went to the yacht club for drinks and dinner, as usual. A few of us were invited onto Alex's boat for more drinks and just plain hanging out. What a gorgeous boat! After a while, Sergeo arrived with his guitar and sang some funny songs, and a good time was had by all.
The next day, Mike sent me this print-out from his GPS, which shows our course:

Hey, I was second and you were not in my boat! Kerry and me actually made the second place overall (first one was another Merit with the French skipper), but we came in before the big boats (by perhaps 300 meters).
Ok, ok... so we were dead last among the Merits. Shoot me. :-)
